I take it this publication is opposed to sanctions on Israelis too?

The Jews are always the exceptions when it comes to treating people with fairness and empathy - Jews are the universal scapegoats and it has to stop.

Yeah, so much better for them to be gassed and killed by a despot who otherwise would just normally drop them into a hole of a prison cell never to be heard from again. And the fact that your other “articles” insist things like “rape never happened on Oct 7th”, even though there is evidence of it, even the UN couldn’t deny it, and several journalists were invited to see the GoPro footage the terrorists filmed of them doing it and they even confirmed it was sickeningly real, well I’m dropping you into a hole 🕳️ as well. Bye asshole.

I'd imagine at a "semi-insider" level it has something to do with Zionist intelligence operations hurting the Syrian people because cabbalistically "literalized" views of the Hebrew Bible as falsely conflated/exaggerated by the Zionists hate Assad for opposing the Judeonazi syndicate, and in their outward propaganda these fake "Jewish" Zionists and their "Christian Zionist" allies probably think modern Syria opposing the Fourth Reich is some continuation of ancient Syria in the Old Testament militarily opposing (actual) Israel then. Not sure if I'm entirely correct on this speculation, but just some food for thought nonetheless.

Can somebody please explain the difference between US sanctions and tariffs on foreign countries?

Trump is blaming Canada and Mexico for their illegal immigrants, drugs and gun problems and threatening us with 25% tarriffs unless we do what we are told. The US sanctions on South American countries and China seem to be the root cause of their problems so why punish so-called allies?

Are we all to become banana republics because l'm thinking BRICS is a way better option for Canada.

Hi Shelley, Tariffs are taxation. Compromise can occur with Tariffs. Sanctions are punitive. Tariffs occur worldwide. When we travel to the EU the VAT is a tariff.

And the one country we should strangle to death with sanctions is the one running our foreign policy.

Ha! We sanction them and we harm ourselves. Do you honestly believe the US supports the world's only Jewish nation out of the kindness of its heart? We need Israel to do our dirty work for us against Jihadism. We also need their technology and intelligence information.

The US regime cares not a whit about the welfare or 'humanitarian rights' of ordinary human beings and resorts to siege warfare to punish and/or destroy any country and its people that does not bend the knee in vassalage or dares to be even a dash independent. Syria has long been on the regime's hit list, and using sanctions and mercenaries, America reduced Syria "to rubble". Only countries like Russia and China, and Iran to some extent, are large enough and powerful enough to resist the hegemony, and Syria, even with Russia and China's help, could not resist.

That said, I question the meme of Syria as a terrible human right violator. First, ever since independence from France, the Syrian secular government has been under attack from Islamist extremists, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood. The story of a massacre in Homs relates just that, the Syrian state protecting itself from the Brotherhood. Perhaps their 'resolution' was excessive, but liberals in the West have no basis to judge because we lack the experience—think perhaps of an ongoing 9/11 and we know what the US did in response to that attack.

It has been shown that the 'Caesar' photos of atrocities were not what they claimed to be, and have proven to be little more than convenient props to apply sanctions to Syria, and also to justify CIA support to the 'moderate rebels' attacking the government.

Syria lives in a tough neighborhood and has to be tough. Looked at accurately, before 2011 Syria was one of the highest developed countries in West Asia, along with Muammar Gaddafi's Libya. What we know is the US decided these countries could not stand and 'by hook or by crook' proceeded to destroy them. As is often said, "It is easy to destroy and hard to build."

He f’ing gassed his own people!! He was a despot! He put people in labyrinthine prisons underground that when over run, they could see people in prison cells on security cameras that they couldn’t find!! He dropped them in a hole 🕳️, even worse than Guantanamo. It had zero to do with vassalage to the US, but instead actual vassalage to the Assad family- first his father, then him! As for hedgmony, unless you are a good Muslim or a good communist, you’ll be 💩 out of luck if the “powers” you describe get control and start exercising their “hedgmony.” Seriously, are you so ideologically-minded that you literally “beg your own harms.”?
