Another suggestion worth mentioning: Eating Raoul (1982) written, directed by and starring Paul Bartel with Mary Woronov, Robert Beltran, Ed Begley Jr., Buck Henry, and Susan Saiger.
Great list, thanks. Several I haven't heard of and will watch (found most on Kanopy). And check out my curated movie lists on my Substack, Age of Deceit. If I knew how to insert the link on an android phone I would.
Check out Bad Boy Bubby (1993) and Sante Sangre (1990) for some pitch black comedy

In honor of the Christmas season, I recommend “Trapped In Paradise” for a great comedy watch.
More dark Xmas fun: The Ref and The Ice Harvest.
I’d add After Hours to this list
Yes! Love that movie
Might be my all time fave and stands the test of time. Hysterical. Plus fun to see old 80s SoHo NYC. :)

I’d put Withnail & I at number one—I love that movie! Interesting that you chose High Anxiety over Young Frankenstein or Blazing Saddles…
Another little-known/appreciated gem is Mother’s Day (1980). Don’t brush it off as another B-movie scream fest—it’s quite funny and creepy.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve seen 3 of these but will attempt to find and watch some of the others.
Sorry Eric Toledano
