Sounds like Browder was one of the many western capitalists who went to Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union to “help”. In reality, they were trying to take advantage of the situation by teaming with Russian oligarchs to loot the country’s resources. They played a big part in Putin’s rise to power when the populace finally had enough of the chaos and rampant corruption.

Thank you !!! Note that another Sub-stack author, Alex Krainer, wrote a book about Browder crime and fabrications.

The book is banned by Amazon in the US because of wealthy Browder’s legal threats.

Good piece; I knew the basics of the case against Browder; hadn't read the Spiegel piece before. Oh, one small edit: "Steele Dossier" near the bottom, not "steel"!

Fitting that John McCain the most nefarious of the Keating 5 would have Browders back. Nice work.

Good example of demonizing method later for Russia and personalise it on Putin. Example about US lawmaking process principles based on false cover up story to justify punishments due Russia had started to stop "colonise russia" project targetting privatize all potential resours to western gonglomerates and rise new billionars to economic and political power like Jeltsin was "in pocket". Good old settler colonialism!

Democrazy in west and gloryfying storytelling about jeltsin time even reality was open " wild-east" robbing period by west billionar and their russian bulvans and mafias rough power struggle.

Cencuring Alex Krainers book and forgetting this german investigative article are good evidence of powerstrugle on this issue and western "open society" principles and methods.

Good return to main sources or "root causes" to understand what has taken place past decades, that are related to so many issues today and had obvious consequencies to future depending on how one is analysing past.

Great article. FWIW Magnitsky was specifically called in to discuss Eduard Khairetdinov power of attorney for arbitration involvement in the tax heist. So, both mafia and legit lawyers. Magnitsky was also questioned for the Kalmykia tax fraud in 2004. Browder has two 9 year convictions for the Kameya and Kalmykia tax fraud. He and Magnitsky were never convicted of the $230 million crime.

Also, a big thing to note is Russia accuses Browder associates of murdering Magnitsky with poison.

Great article and keep exposing Sir William Browder!

Actually, the Cold War never ended. The opportunity to continue the decades old goal came when the US establishment decided to lie to Gorbachev about NATO expansion in 1991. American strategist were planning the destruction of Russia as a major power since, at least, the Wolfowitz Doctrine was formulated - the ideas were already present in the post WW II policy plans that established NATO. The Browder fraught was only a convenient incident to be exploited in the furtherance of the western hegemonic goal for world domination.
