Reminder: Tulsi has never been the "peace candidate" or peace whatever. https://socraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2019/09/no-tulsi-gabbard-is-not-peace-candidate.html

But, she IS a Zionist supporter and lover of AIPAC as well as an Islamophobe. You have to be a Zionist to be at a John Hagee event. https://socraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2019/01/drinking-tulsi-gabbard-kool-aid-and.html

And, a lot of alleged leftist journos have given her a pass in the past: https://socraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2019/10/alleged-hard-hitting-journos-give.html

I like MacLeod and follow him on Shitter, but I think his story is still a bit too smiley-faced on how far back this "trajectory" goes. Note that all three of mine are 2019 dated versus his original date of 2021 on his piece, and that, in that second one, her John Hagee appearance was way back in 2015. (The Mondoweiss piece linked by Alan notes that on the date.)

And, per this quote:

"These positions might surprise many who remember Gabbard from the 2016 and 2020 election cycles as a “rising star” on the progressive left. "

I remember no such thing.

My first piece about her was in 2016, already talking about her Hindutva fascism and Islamophobia, which I later noted came from the Chris Butler cult. https://socraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2016/03/sandernistas-tulsi-gabbard-bigotry.html

Strangely and interestingly, MacLeod mentions Butler not at all. If he had, I might consider his comment purely rhetorical. But, as is, it seems it's not 100 percent rhetorical. Maybe 90 percent?

And, on never really being on the left, beyond the issues above, Chris Butler and his cult have other problems and issues, and many of them go way back as well.

Tulsi, when you defied your party and supported Bernie Sanders, I liked you. When you constantly railed against regime-change wars, I liked you. When you gave your farewell speech when leaving the Democratic Party, it was inspiring, and I liked you.

What a piece of shit you’ve turned out to be. You’re a crazed Zionist and an unhinged war monger. You’re a chameleon, a weather vane, and a crass opportunist. You prove the truth of a very important maxim:

“Don’t have heroes. They never fail to disappoint.”

Tulsi invoked "my brothers and sisters in uniform" in nearly every speech she made during the campaign attesting to her anti=war support. As a reservist and as someone who served in active duty, , she wanted to make sure to wave her credentials as a peace loving candidate. I havent heard her bring this up since she was confirmed. Maybe it is because if Netanyahu succeds in dragging the US into his many wars, the boots of her brothers and sisters will be on the ground.

There was no jealousy in their comment, just calling out Tulsi's hypocrisy.

The only peace Trump knows is a piece of the action — usually 10% of the contract’s value, occasionally more if there’s serious money involved.

You can’t achieve peace by making deals with Muslim terrorists like Hamas, the Houthi leadership, or the Iranian leadership.

You can only achieve peace by eliminating them.

I can see from this feeble attempt at convincing rational people that The Dissident is nothing more than a Palestinian terrorist. The JEWISH people have a long history of being victimized by ethnic cleansing going back thousands of years. Whereas Palestinians have only been in existence for 100 years and I’ve played the victim every minute.

I agree with almost everything written in this article except for the hamas been the opposition. Everything Hamas has done since October 7, is helping Netanyahu and his government displaced thousands of Palestinians out of their homes, destroying large residential areas in the process, killing civilians, thus helping them achieved their goal of a greater Israel. I still don’t buy that hamas is the opposition. Hamas and Israel are one and the same. Look up Ron Paul saying Hamas was created by Israel. Also, trump wants to develop the area into the “riviera of the Middle East” after the war is over. I’d say: mission accomplished!
