It’s great there is constant war in the Middle East for American war companies. Now Israel is using American munitions and the American made Dome to protect Israel. Enemies of Israel use Russian and Chinese offensive and defensive weapons. Each war we get to see whose equipment is operating the best. War has been going on in the Middle East since thousands of years ago, since I was born more than 70 years ago and will continue thousands of years after I am dead. War is not just a social event for Sunnis and Shias, it is a life of war in their blood, in their DNA. Great, let’s keep developing new weapons of war and weapons of defense in War thanks to the Middle East. W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

It is shocking that someone with so many letters after his name, (so presumably attended some third level education) can write such hate and bigoted comments. You remind me of the Jews I met in NYC (also educated) or the Protestants (not educated) I grew up around on Northern Ireland. White supremacists with a superiority complex. Where is the war in the middle east? Define war? Every doctor coming out of Gaza said that they never saw any one other than children more than 50% and women 35% the remainder were men. None armed, often assassination attempt injuries. Surely even you, can see that Israel is an American zionist military camp, a testing facility for the munitions, surveillance, the interrogation methods, the pushing of every legal red line. The Palestinians are the lab specimens. Very convenient that the israelis are a satanic cult that has hijacked Judaism, for the zionist project. They think they are in charge, they are dependent on the American taxpayer for everything, and whatever they collect with the Jewish suffering stick they are so fond of beating people with. But the USA and Uk are collecting all the data.

Well said and i believe PhDs are given away like candies these days (if that person has one, could be questionable though -who knows). I earned my PhD in 1981 in the old days when requirements were much tougher than today. It is interesting that the Gaza people apparently vote for the Hamas to represent them. To me that is like Democrats voting for the Ku Klux Klan to represent Democrats today as they did over 150 years ago. How would that work out today? I am hoping that now either Hamas destroys all of Israel or Israel destroys all of Hamas. At least then we will have peace for a year or two. W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

Like Americans voting for any of their presidents who don’t give a damn about the actual Americans? I don’t know what planet you’re are living on but there are not much choices to vote for anyone who can make a positive difference for the people even in all the Western countries. But this distracts from the actual issue anyway after occupation of Palestine 1 in 1948 and then the following occupation and years of being divided into living in the concentration camp of Gaza with regular massacres witnessed over generations peoples priorities would be different from any regular place where your kids don’t get shot by snipers. Hamas the political group and militant wing promised resistance. Netanyahu was all up for it and said he would support them a rogue group that causes the Palestinians to look bad was the perfect excuse for collective punishment.

Iran was ok with Mosaddegh but operation Ajax changed Iran forever and it was the CIA we have to thank for like so many other countries CIAs regime changes always ended up in countries falling apart. You really think Iranians would be grateful to America or trust them after seeing the chaos and destructions they cause with all their involvements?

You are a good example of the inability of education to clear racist thinking and to combat the effects of constant propaganda. Democracy love to virtue signal and have perfected it into an art. If Democrats were really in favor of freedom, Democracy and capitalism then Democrats would flourish. Unfortunately Democrats are in favor of less individual freedom, more government control, more uniparty of course meaning Democrat Party and more communism they try to mask by calling it Lite Socialism. Anyone who disagrees with Democrats is a Nazi, a fascist, a stormtrooper, or too young to see the brilliance of the Democrat Party. Thank God that young people who are inheriting the $37 Trillion Dollars of National Debt from Spend Spend Spend Democrats are rejecting Democrats. The only policies Democrats offer today are;

1. Open borders

2. Boys and Men playing girls and women sports and

3. Tax, Tax, Tax raising federal taxes, state taxes, local taxes , property taxes, alcohol taxes, lottery games which are voluntary tax instruments, cigarette taxes, vaping taxes, electric vehicle taxes to capture gasoline taxes etc .

Thank God so many young people honestly see the dying, dysfunctional, dystopian Democrat Party for what it really has become. Please attack me personally as usual since you Democrats never attack my opinions. LOL. W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

Iran is aligned with China and Russia. Israel is aligned with the United States. Americans have a choice in what civilizations in general they wish to follow. Europe decided to admit many non-JudeoChristian individuals into their society. How is that working out? For now I prefer JudeoChristian Law over Sharia Law. In some ways I wonder since you are a woman how much you would enjoy life under Sharia law. You would not be allowed to vote, own a business, express your anti-Sharia opinions, have sex outside marriage without being stoned to death. Why don’t lovers of Iran who are haters of Israel move to Iran and support the Iranian movement? Do you think as a woman you would ever be heard from again? W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

My parents were middle class hardworking taxpayers. My Dad was drafted to go to Korea until the Army decided he was smart and a good teacher so they kept him here to teach Artillery to new recruits. I am grateful to be middle class because it helps me understand politics. I am grateful for my education because it gives me insights into what works and what is wasteful especially in medicine. I always enjoy loud mouth politicians and their supporters whose philosophy is “I may not be right but I always have an opinion and I will always be the loudest or coolest.” That works short term but not long term as the dying, dysfunctional, dystopian Democrat Party is discovering. 3. Far Right Republicans. All the far right Republicans I know work hard, pay taxes, volunteer for war to defend their country, obey the law and preserve the American Dream. If you don’t like the American Dream move to California or Oregon and apply for free housing, free healthcare, free education, free prescription drugs, free food stamps like all the illegals. This philosophy was working well until all of the businesses and mobile taxpayers started moving to Texas, Tennessee, Florida & other red states. Governor Newscum and his socialist Democrats have turned the California State Budget Surplus into a growing California State Budget Deficit. What’s the solution Democrats offer? More taxes, more taxes, more taxes etc. It’s funny watching the Newscum and the Democrat California Economy implode as Newscum’s hope of being our next cool President like Barack Oblahblah are fading rapidly. I am grateful anti-Israeli flags are being flown in California by illegal alien immigrants. It should let Jewish voters see how Gavin Newscum and the Democrats support open borders and hatred of Israel. Great. If Jewish voters hate Israel and want to see Israel conquered by Islamic Extremists with millions of Jewish people executed in the streets than they can vote for Democrats. Self hating prople are always interesting from a Psychiatric viewpoint. If we have a nuclear war with China I would be grateful if the Israeli milatery could smuggle in or launch Nuclear Bombs to take out Beijing and Moscow. This is a very strange post. You are saying it is good for the US to encourage war in the ME so we can sell weapons and make a profit? Furthermore your uneducated stance of boxing all people in one world region into a fixed understanding and war mindset for 1000’s of years is asinine and historically completely inaccurate. Where did you get all your degrees? Trump University?

William ManionMDPhDJDMBA's avatar

War in the Middle East is because of Iran Leadership and Hamas and Palestinian terrorists. These actors constantly spark war by attacking Jews and Israel. Once actors inciting war are weakened or neutralized we may have a chance at peace. Hamas terrorists have an extremism similar to the Japanese during World War II. The Japanese pledged to fight to the last man as US forces prepared for a ground war invading Japan. This would cause millions of American soldier injuries and deaths. Fortunately, Democrat MidWest President Harry Truman dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Finally, the extremists in Japan, facing annihilation allowed for peace. The same will be true in the Middle East. Until Hamas and Iran extremist leadership is annihilated or facing annihilation there will be no peace in the Middle East. Why can’t we learn from history? Wendy's avatar

If he had not dropped atom bombs on Japan, the war would have dragged on for ages, and Japan would never have reformed as it did.

The loss of life was certainly not “fortunate,” but the bombs were a decisive action that brought the war to an end. Had it continued, it’s likely many more people would have been killed.

And seeing the extent of damage such bombs do has helped keep all nuclear-armed countries from attacking one another. So far.

Because everyone knows that like retaliation would be swift - and we really could end humanity, at least in the involved nations.

I’d say that that kind of deterrent effect was pretty darn fortunate.

Goingnowhere's avatar

I agree with your point that the deterrent effect of Mutual Destruction has stood well for so long because if these weapons are used (even in a “tactical” situation) the result will be devastating to humanity, to our earth, our water, our air.

I was in Turkey in 1986 when Chernobyl happened. I remember the fear that we had because Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union) isn’t that far from Turkey when you’re referring to a massive release of radioactive material into the atmosphere.

My father was a nuclear engineer at that time in the United States and told us that we’d already have been exposed by the time we’d even try to leave the country. It was quite a chilling experience.

I cannot begin to imagine what the nuclear weapons of today, which are at least 60 times stronger than what was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, would do to us all. I don’t care if you’ve built a bunker in your backyard, or you’re a billionaire who has a mega bunker, there won’t be anything you’d want to come out to. Money would be meaningless along with life itself. It would be over.

Anyone who posts pictures of themselves as Jesus (Peace be upon him) or of himself walking next to an alien in chains, a person who doesn’t seem to sleep at night but instead posts babbling threats with misspelled words and hideous grammar, a person who surrounds himself with yes-men and who sends his son-in-law (whose family makes part of their millions building homes on land where Pale#####s have had their homes torn down) to negotiate with Iran, this person is too impetuous, unintelligent, and unstable to be in charge of such matters.

Wendy's avatar

It’s definitely scary.

I bet that being in Turkey at the time of Chernobyl was terrifying. Hopefully you won’t have any ill effects.

We had a good scare in California when the reactor in Japan melted down about 15 years ago, and I think we were a lot further away than you were from Chernobyl. We *had* to have had exposure on the coast because they were finding radiation in the soil a hundred miles inland months later. I quit eating fish from anywhere in the Pacific.

Fortunately, the tsunami we were fearing didn’t happen, but I packed up and moved my fanny considerably further inland. We did see some damage and flooding up and down the coast, with definitely rough seas, but thankfully that was the worst of it.

Perhaps you should advocate that the West, in all its magnanimity, leave the Middle East entirely, since you seem to despise its inhabitants entirely.

Get out. Leave. Go. As you might say, get the fuck out, but don’t forget to take your hatred with you. They certainly don’t want you there.

It will be a mutually beneficial experience. You won’t have to deal with people you despise, and they won’t have to watch you destroy another country’s economy, or entire infrastructure, with your well planned wars and mission to “spread democracy.”

You wish eternal war on them, and you want to profit from their murder-it really seems they make you irritable. You should go.

Please pack up all your shit and leave. You’ll feel so much better because hating Muslims the way you do isn’t healthy for you or your millions of friends who feel the same.

Oh and leave the oil. We have such ‘huge reserves’ here in the States that we don’t need it. They can sell to Europe and the rest of the world. Bye🙏

Israel is the only Democracy in the Middle East. Do Democrats hate Israel as a Democracy as much as they hate the United States for being a democracy. If a Democracy is so bad why do millions of people outside Israel and outside the United States seek to work in these countries? It’s amazing to me how much the Democrats are supported by Billionaire Kings who sit around all day pontificating about the horrors of capitalism. Liberty Luminary's avatar

Wendy's avatar

I’m also Jewish, and generally a strong supporter of Israel, but there really are some horrible things some of the people are doing, for which there are apparently no consequences from either the IDF or the government. And clearly both are complicit in at least some of it. It’s depressing to learn these things, but I’d rather know the truth.

And as you say, it’s still a minority, and in no ways reflects our overall morality and beliefs, and God knows we can’t control them.

Goingnowhere's avatar

I’m a Muslim American and I know about being blamed for the crazy shit some of my co-religionists have done. I don’t blame all Jewish people for what Is###l is doing, and hope all Muslims aren’t blamed for what some nuts in our religion do.

Along those lines, I hope the rest of the world doesn’t blame all Americans for what is being done by our leaders.

Wendy's avatar

I’m so sorry if you are truly peaceful and are getting blamed for what Muslim fanatics do.

Honest question here.

Knowing about taqqiya and tawriya, how do we tell who the “good” Muslims really are vs the ones just telling us much of what we want to hear while shamelessly actually supporting terrorist agendas?

I hope that more and more moderate Muslims everywhere will start speaking out openly against the excesses of the religion.

I know that would come at great personal threat, but the whole religion needs to reform and come into the 21st century like the rest of us.

Goingnowhere's avatar

You want me to tell you who the “Good Muslims” are because you can’t tell us from the “Bad Muslims” who shamelessly support terrorist organizations? Please, go first: How can we tell who the “Good Jews” are vs the ones who shamelessly support terrorists like Benjamin Netanyahu and what he’s doing to literally millions of innocent people?

Taqqiya, actually means the concealing of one’s religion in order to survive during times of danger, death, or severe discrimination. The direct translation means “prudence” which means being cautious or careful. People who have probably never asked a Muslim they know personally what Taqqiya means would not be able to distinguish the true definition from the misinformation (most likely designed to give folks one more reason to disparage Islam) that gets spread across the internet. The false reading of this is that we are allowed to lie to anyone who isn’t Muslim. This is a complete misinterpretation. We are allowed to lie to someone just as Jews during the Spanish Inquisition were allowed to lie or deny their religion in order to avoid being burned at the stake.

Tawriya means “deliberate ambiguity,” or “equivocation,” or “indirectness.” If you’re in a situation in which telling the direct meaning of something will cause great harm to either you or the person asking you, you may defer to Tawriya. I can give you examples that were taught by the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and Aisha (as) if you truly wish to learn the real meaning of these terms.

My question now is do you really think that Western Civilization and this 21st century we live in are wonderful examples of what humanity looks like? So wonderful that you feel the freedom-the entitlement-to ask me why my religion isn’t up to your, and its, standards? The West dividing up the Middle East after WWI with the Sykes-Picot agreement acting as if they owed us, and the Zionist movement coming into Palestine and claiming that their religion gave them the right to the land (that doesn’t sound like a “modern” idea-claiming religion gives land rights;) The entirety of Gaza turned into wasteland, with children burned and starved; the West in WWII eating each other alive and causing the death of millions and millions of their own; Vietnam, right wing politics on the rise everywhere, the completely ridiculous invasion of Iraq to revenge 911 but they invaded a country that had absolutely nothing to do with it and the repercussions of that hideous mistake are still felt by families in Iraq. The French occupation of Algeria-look up what the lovely Western 20th century civilized French did to the Algerians. All examples of 20th and 21st century civilization. This isn’t “what aboutism” it’s about showing you how you saying I should help my fellow Muslims become civilized like the “rest of us” sounds incredibly condescending.

I’m so tired of talking to people who seem so cool and then say shit like this to me. It’s a huge disappointment. I’m 68 years old and have been hearing this for most of my life in one way or another. I just wish that people could look in the mirror before they say certain things. There’s nothing wrong with asking me questions, but you reply to me sounded like you were saying “how can I believe what you say” because of Taqqiya and Tawriya, the meanings of which you don’t fully know. Then to tell me our whole religion needs to reform but without referring to how your own acts. It’s disappointing.

And a postscript to all the people on here who are going to tell me what my own religion’s sayings mean: Don’t please, I’ve heard it all.

Wendy's avatar

Thank you very much for that clarification! I really do appreciate it.

No politician or president has control over how businesses price their products. They can’t just call up the CEOs and tell them to cut their prices - or to raise them.

Market forces in general are responsible for price fluctuations.

While it’s obviously true that some presidential actions can create *conditions* that require businesses to increase their prices just to stay alive and competitive, there is never any direct control. Anyone who actually believed Trump’s campaign promises to lower prices for gas and eggs was clueless how money and markets actually operate.

Israel is the closest state to a Democracy within the Middle East. Barack Oblahblah received the Nobel Peace Prize because he first went on his apology tour for the United States. Barack Oblahblah gave Europe hundreds of billions of dollars of our tax money and military equipment for NATO defense. Biden did the same thing. Trump told NATO to start getting money from their own countries to defend themselves and stop bleeding American taxpayers. No way Europe will give Trump the Nobel Prize after Trump made them start spending their own money for their own defense. I wish I was a white wealthy millionaire or billionaire Democrat who could virtue signal and say let’s raise our taxes so we can give Billions of dollars to NATO for their own defense. What a joke. Trump has his assets in a blind trust while he is President. He and his family are too wealthy to be bought like Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. Are democrats really against Trump putting reciprocal tariffs on countries that charge us sky high tariffs? Really? That’s why there are so few USA and American made cars bought in Europe, Africa, South America, Japan, Asia, Canada because these countries put high tariffs on USA American made cars. Democrats think that is ok because Democrats receive political contributions from foreign business owners and foreign business

lobbyists. Trump has ended that! God Bless President Trump stopping countries from tariffing our products while we do not tariff their products. ENOUGH! God Bless President Trump standing up for American families. W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

I do know that Ukraine had promises made to them in exchange for giving up their nuclear weapons. Did Russia promise not to invade Ukraine if Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons? Did Europe promise to defend Ukraine if it was invaded by Russia. Did the United States promise to defend Ukraine? That’s why I said who will ever give up their nuclear bombs again when we see what happened to Ukraine when they gave up their nuclear weapons. Did Obama refuse to help Ukraine because Obama is in favor of nuclear disarmament and against Ukraine having nuclear bombs? Was this the time that Obama sent Ukraine blankets and bedsheets while Trump later sent them armaments and missiles to defend themselves? Thank you for your insights and can you give us a good reference summary of Ukraine and its’ situation. Thanks for helping us understand this situation. I am certainly in favor of the United States keeping its’ word. But Biden sending 350 Billion dollars of tax money and armaments into Ukraine which is said to be rife with corruption is not acceptable. I agree we must keep our word if we gave it but what’s wrong with Trump helping US taxpayers? Helping US taxpayers by providing getting rare earth minerals and trade agreements with Ukraine to compensate taxpayers who apparently just lost $350 billion dollars of their tax money because Biden sent that money into the Ukraine deep state and corrupt swamp. Thanks for your great analysis. As usual no one will criticize Obama because you will be called a racist or even worse people will say you are not a “Cool Globalist” like Obama. If we weren’t $7 Trillion or $7,000 Billion dollars in debt maybe we could give Ukraine $350 Billion dollars. Unfortunately Deep state Democrats and RINO Republicans are giving our young people $7 Trillion or $7,000 Billion dollars of debt that will hurt their standard of living. Thank you again. W. Corruption runs deeper than most know in this situation. Both Obama and Biden were the last gasp of the Old Order of dependency on The US as the standard OF The Global Order. #4547 is the expression of the new one. Which is really the VERY OLD world order coming back to haunt all of us, dressed up with 21st Century technology.

I am not interested as much in any old world order or new world order. I am interested in the United States taking care of its own citizens. Close the borders, arrest criminals, keep criminals in prison, deport illegal alien immigrants so that citizen American workers will have higher paying jobs. Vote Republican although I do support abortion access and birth control access. My bias is having reviewed or autopsied thousands of innocent homicide victims who would be alive if their murderers had been aborted before they were born. W. So you like finding out how we stand up against the other makers of weapons? At least in this case. You don’t seem to like it when we send our weapons to Ukraine to see how they stack up against the Russian weapons. Just a bit hypocritical, don’t you think?

William ManionMDPhDJDMBA's avatar

I try not to be hypocritical but tell me if I am. I don’t mind sending weapons to Ukraine if Ukraine is paying for them. I do mind sending weapons to Ukraine if my taxes are paying for them. If people are wealthy enough to pay taxes to send $350,000,000,000.00 or $350 Billion dollars of our taxes to Ukraine then God Bless Them. I would rather this $350 Billion dollars help our poor people who are crushed under an affordability crisis created by Democrat Bidenomics’ 20% plus inflation over 4 years. Why are Democrats sending $350 billion dollars of our tax money to Ukraine exacerbating our affordability crisis in the United States. W. Manion, MDPhDJDMBA

Since you’ve listed all the good things those tax dollars can do for us that are going to help an ally beat back one of the world’s most ruthless dictators, and you say you try not to be hypocritical (don’t we all!) then maybe we should consider not plowing quite so many tax dollars to another country: it’s in the Middle East, it’s very very tiny (I was there in 1984 and drove across it in very little time,) it has a very large lobby working tirelessly in our Congress, and just like us, it has a leader who is in hot water with the law. Have you guessed which one?

We could cut at least a portion of the tax dollars that we citizens of the United States send to that tiny little country. If we’re going to let one ally fend for themselves entirely, then shouldn’t we reevaluate the others as well? We could reduce the tax dollars sent to all allies. But we must make sure the tiny one doesn’t take as much as well. We could really put those tax dollars to good use.

Maybe we could start a fund that releases criminals from jail! I can picture it now: a billion dollars for anyone who smashed into a government building or bear-sprayed police officers, or beat police officers wit the iron railings that were at the government building or who ran through the hallways yelling to hang the Vice President of our nation or who stomped on police officers or who were complicit in the death (he died that night) of a police officer or who constantly claim it was “antifa (seriously, it’s not an organization with leaders and dues and a committee) who was responsible for everything; honest Dad! And what else? Oh! If they’ve been arrested even after the mobbing for sexual assault on a child. Or robbery! Yes, I think it sounds like an excellent use of tax dollars.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Iran was hoping China would rush to their defense, and Assad was probly hoping Russia would keep him in power. But the point of these proxy wars is to avoid direct conflict between the alphas; that way nobody has to risk fatal embarrassment, which might spiral out of control.

And it’s not just the middle east that’s a perennial tinderbox, although Arabs have a wise proverb about that: “Me against my brother, me and my brother against my cousin, me and my cousin against the world.” But also globally, there is an endless debate over democracy vs totalitarianism, which is equally zero-sum. Libertarians and capitalists think of socialism/communism as an endless litany of failures. But the sociopaths who run those societies think of them as successful if the ruling class is able to subvert their subjects without being overthrown. So there’s little room for negotiation with these regimes.

We have a chance at real change in Iran, because of their relatively recent history of relative modernity, and their much longer history of persistence against Islamic imperialism. But Russia lost their esprit de corps under the czars, and Russians are an ethnic melting pot, which fragments the ability to establish a common cultural narrative. China is more homogenous, and for a brief interlude in the early 21st century seemed on the cusp of capitalism, but decided they need to rerun the mercantilist experiment first. The middle east is showing some sporadic improvement, but the dominance of Iran’s mullah mayhem and Qatar’s Machiavellian global grip must be broken. Ironically, how Jews have always been portrayed, as an octopus encircling the earth, is what Qatar has actually accomplished.

You do realize that when they gave up their nuclear weapons, we made a deal with them to defend them should Russia ever attack them? The word of the US government is not good. It wasn’t already with American Natives and it isn’t in this case. We don’t live up to our promises.

Unless of course, you are actually being sarcastic, which is really hard to tell with Republicans as so many of them haven’t got a clue!

Goingnowhere's avatar

Are you calling ME a Republican??? Ugh, I’d rather you call me anything else but that. I was serious about cutting taxes to Is###l, but being highly sarcastic about the slush fund our Dear Leader has set up for the poor J6 “victims” of justice. I’d rather eat the soles of my shoes than give half a cent to those cretins!!!! (the J6ers I mean)

Note: I’m sorry. I couldn’t tell who that comment was for, but I see now that you meant it for William.

For over a year I was a witness to Israels depravity. I could not believe my eyes. If anyone looks at this conflict with open heart Palestinians are a gentle people with emotional pain we cannot conceive of. I saw a gang rape online by the IDF. I saw a burning beheaded baby. I saw Israelis applaud and reward rape. Hospitals blown to bits. Infants freezing in incubators deserted. I did not see one Hamas among the people. The Israeli kidnap victims applauded and became close to Hamas. I saw the most evil man, aside from Trump, Netanyahu

Arnon Milchan's former collaborator Richard Kelly Smyth also said that Netanyahu used to work for Heli Trading, one of Milchan’s companies that was involved in the nuclear smuggling operation in the late ’70s and early ’80s.

He mentioned it in both an interview with the FBI (the notes of which were later released via FOIA) as well as a letter to Milchan himself.
