Unbelievable. I can’t express in words my feelings. This is what decades of propaganda can accomplish. And it’s not just in Israel. It’s in my country, the USA, as well.

The Israelis insult our intelligence every day. In this Age of Information, they openly call for and perform a genocide, while telling us we cannot believe our own eyes when we see them bragging about their atrocities in real time.

Whom the gods destroy they first drive mad.

Quick: in which country does Islam coexist peacefully with other religions, allowing Christians, Hindus, Jews and Sikhs to live side-by-side with equality for all?

I'll wait here.

Until February 29, 1897, Muslim, Jewish and Christian people coexisted rather well in Palestine.

Yes, tensions existed at times, but many were the best of friends and helped raise each others’ families.

The current genocidal programme has naught to do with religion.

Zionism needs US military might to dominate the region, and conduct ‘diplomacy’ on its behalf.

Long standing US designs for global war require states that align with US policy demands.

In West Asia, the Zionist entity acts as an unsinkable carrier. Taiwan in the South China Sea. Ukraine in Eastern Europe. The list continues.

These are required not by religious extremist fundamentalism but by the diktats of late stage Capitalism in perpetual, global crisis.

So what are you saying Doug? Are you suggesting Islam is incompatible with a peaceful, just, and ordered society? Because that’s bullshit. Christians, Jews and Muslims lived peacefully, side by side, in a tolerant and religiously diverse country called Palestine, until the zionist jews arrived and began to attack and kill them. Each religion you cited has a long and bloody history of violence against its neighbors who aren’t of the same faith, or the “right” sect of that faith. So your example is… well, it’s ignorant Doug. It’s just plain dumb.

The Ottoman Empire was doing a pretty good job of it for centuries, albeit the pressure from greedy Europeans ended up damaging the ability of the Empire to sustain its diffuse mode of governance (religious groups had their own protectorates hailing from Europe, which served as entry points for european dominance games).

Exactly! So Israeli Jews want the people who have stated their mission is to wipe out the whole of Israel to the sea and replace them with all Palestinians ….. and you wonder why they might start to believe they cannot coexist? There is NO country where Islamic people coexist right now with Christians Jews, Buddhists, etc… in the 70’s and 80’s there were many places in the Middle East without women in covered garb and openly going to school and teaching men. The whole area has gone backwards and it sure as hell isn’t the fault of Israel. The Islamist are fine using the Palestinian citizens as pawns to gain support. It’s ridiculous. Yes there is great suffering and the only way forward is to say goodbye to the Palestinians and settle them in Muslim countries. The End. I hope this can end but I doubt it. At least it won’t be at the Jewish State’s back door. I cannot blame them but yes it is a sad state brought on by years of conflict many generations ago.

First of all, the phrase "From the river to the sea" was coined by early Zionists. Read Ben-Gurion's words for what they hoped to see vis-a-vis the Palestinians. Of course they can't compare with those of Smotrich and Ben-Gvir and Netanyahu. Who is blaming Israel for the repression that exists in Muslim countries? I've never read that. However, Israel is to blame for what they are visiting upon the Palestinians - their crimes are unspeakable, and constitute a genocide. The US is certainly complicit in this, for, without our aid, which we have given since the nation's inception, Israel would not have been able to carry this out. We are evil bedfellows.

It's lightyears away from adequate -- nothing will undo the horror and pain the Palestinians have suffered -- but at the very least, Israel *must* be treated as a pariah state indefinitely. It will have its usual allies, but it must be utterly cut off from the rest of the "civilized" world.

Again, this is horrifically inadequate, but they should be isolated, sanctioned, and punished in every way possible. No international travel or trade, across the board boycotts and divestment, everything. Best case scenario, their government collapses and is replaced with one who spends the next 100 years attempting to atone.

As for Israelis who are against this, that's their cross to bear, but the State of Israel should be regarded with the same air of untouchable revulsion and containment as the worst regimes of the 20th century, including Nazi Germany.

Oct 6? You mean Oct 5, right? On that day, https://www.siasat.com/israeli-settlers-storm-al-aqsa-complex-on-6th-day-of-sukkot-holiday-2714553/ the intensity of the settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque increased, on the heels of several days of such activity, which itself followed a year of settler swarms indicating intention to take the mosque, and Israeli police beating (and worse) worshippers. It had been going on since roughly the moment Ben-Gvir took power, the end of the year preceding. https://www.timesofisrael.com/jordan-accuses-ben-gvir-of-storming-al-aqsa-by-visiting-temple-mount/ He pulled several such stunts https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-743705

But he'd been clear that it was his intent to remove Palestinians https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RIDlx1AIqC0 and his method would be to antagonize them, then punish them for resistance by ... removing... them. Somehow.

The writing was on the wall for the Palestinians as soon as he and Smotrich https://jstreet.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Fact-Sheet-What-You-Need-to-Know-Bezalel-Smotrich-and-Itamar-Ben-1-2.pdf were elected. It was known who and what those two are.

Perhaps this would not have happened to the Palestinians had Oct 6 not occurred. However, a people can take only so much before they explode, and believe me, the Palestinians have had a lot to put up with, for 50 years. The blame for this extermination lies solely on the shoulders of the Israelis. They could have long, long ago given to the Palestinians the same rights and privileges reserved for Jewish people. I think this gives support to the claim that the removal of the Palestinians, whether by genocide or expulsion, was long in the plan of Israel.

How absolutely disgusting! Think of all that the Jewish culture has contributed to the world. And then, the depths to which they have sunk. Their words attest to what they are doing every day. How can the world stand by and NOT DO ANYTHING to prohibit Israel's actions? It's a lie to say there's nothing that the US can do - just stop sending weapons and condoning their ruthless behavior.
