Good Grief! I thought it is quite obvious there is no daylight between Obama, Biden, Bernie, Trump, Netanyahu, Erdoğan and all the Arab rulers. All of them want a Final Solution to the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank.

The January 2025 story in the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz has been widely reported as fact. It runs that “Steven Witkoff, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's Middle East envoy [who is himself Jewish] called from Qatar to tell Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's aides that he would be coming to Israel the following afternoon. The aides politely explained that was in the middle of the Sabbath”. But Witkoff came anyway and told Netanyahu to “sit down and shut up”.

May I point out that Netanyahu is not an observant Jew. In fact of all the PMs of Israel since 1948 there has been only one who was observant: Naftali Bennett from 2021-2022. In June 2021 Foreign Policy wrote: “With Naftali Bennett, the homeland of the Jewish people is about to see what it’s like having an observant Jewish leader.”

It's impossible to force two people to have peace, peace have to come from the people themselves if the Palestinians want peace you'll get peace, if Israel want peace they will get peace

It’s comically ignorant for the author to presume the U.S. CAN, could, or should “force a ceasefire in Gaza” one might as well claim the Trump Administration is refusing to force a ceasefire in Ukraine, Congo, or the Kashmir Province.

Short of sending in brigades of U.S. soldiers, the U.S. has no ability to “force” any such thing.

It’s difficult to judge if the author is the country’s last full blooded neocon, seeking to expand the Monroe Doctrine to the Middle East, or merely an advocate for the sort of Gunboat diplomacy and intervention that was the hallmark of U.S. policy in Central and South America in the 19th and 20th centuries

Maybe President Trump doesn't want to send more American soldiers to die in the Middle East for things that don't really even benefit our country?

Correct. We need a group of people from different backgrounds to investigate what is happening over there. Even that won’t convince some people.
