Like Debbie "Poodle Hair" Schultz and Stacey Plaskett, this lady is an obscure foot soldier in the Democratic war machine. She's been assigned the task of basely slandering Taibbi to de-legitimize his reporting and testimony. She's a loser and a desperate shill.
Matt is as honest as one can be. Even those who disagree with him know that. This is just a smear campaign to get him to shut up. Has been tried several times but hasn't worked. And it will not work this time either. His voice is too powerful and his following too great. Move along. Sabrinalabow.substack.com
That said? Taibbi has drifted rightward for years. Mark and Yasha, his Moscow comrades in arms, are among many who have noted that. Much of the "Twitter files" was bullshit, IMO. This goes back years. Although he did not himself sign that notorious "Harper's letter" of Jesse Singal, he did stan for it in 2020. He also, getting back to The Dissident's previous piece, lobbed nothing but softball questions to Tulsi Gabbard in a 2020 interview.
"Thanks for your opinion, but what you've written is totally subjective."
I agree.
Oh, you weren't talking about yourself?
And, it may be tangential to the slander, but irrelevant? No.
If you really think Taibbi's close to the bee's knees, you're wrong, and that's not the only thing I've written about him, and I've ready what Mark and Yasha, and others from way back, have written about him. Ken Silverstein's another good example of knowing the reality on Matt.
I’ll make this easy for you. Once the fact of a slanderous writing is proven the only defense to his legal action against her is the truth of it. Unless she can prove by a preponderance that Matt is a serial sexual harasser she’s dead legally. I think the reason the DNC picked her to be the hit person is that she has no significant property to attach per the damages that will get awarded by the court.
Did I say that anything she said might not be slanderous? No I did not.
That said, did I indicate Matt is not on the pedestal that you and other fanbois (I've looked through your list of follows/reads, and at least you don't follow Bari Weiss) want to put him on? Absolutely.
And, since you don't want to accept that?
I won't block you, but for now, so that I can still get other notifications about other comments here, I will mute you.
Well, we have maximum sympathy for Matt and zero for a opportunist like yourself. The whole thing is politically motivated, the putrid remnants of the cancel culture. Commies want to shut Taibbi up. Simple.
It proved the liberals and their minions in our government were completely in line with censorship as Musk said “they wanted it so bad they could taste it”
Fortunately, I've read other people than Taibbi and Musk about the Twitter files, including the names mentioned above and more. Your comment is otherwise duly noted and duly ignored. And, per the bitching of Amy Kennedy above, you are more than duly ignored, as I look at your follows. Bye.
Good article except that the link supplied to support your contention that the current administration is engaging in censorship is erroneous too. Thousands off people have protested in support of Hamas without repercussion. The foreign nationals who are being detained subject to their deportation are not being so detained/deported because of their speech.
I applaud Matt Taibbi. I may not like or totally disagree with what someone is saying but they have that right to speak. The problem is the censorship coming from any side, right or left. Or when it crosses the line into threatening someone. It’s a fine line.
No. Censorship comes exclusively from the Left. They made us suffer with their cancelling and their totalitarian grip on society, now they squeal. Well. Know how painful it was for us, half a century of abuse!
I think you’re right as far as censorship mostly coming from the left in recent years but it’s very important not to overreact back the same way. I hate what the pro hamas people are saying but it’s also OK to criticize Israel. People have the right to do that. They just don’t have the right to incite violence. Most people in this country don’t even have an inkling of the Middle East and what’s going on . I sure don’t understand the long complex history. I only know what I saw from the PLO during the Olympics a long time ago with the murder of Israeli athletes and what happened on Oct 7th. It’s pretty clear to me who the bad guys are.
It’s very important to keep listening to each other. To take in what someone you disagree with is saying. Sometimes there’s some truth to what they’re saying and you may find after talking with that person you have a lot more you agree with than you realized at first. No one side is all right or all wrong. Most people are more in the middle.
Three days ago, journalist Matt Taibbi testified before Congress about the growing problem of censorship and suppression of dissenting voices—even when those voices are rooted in science, lived experience, or public health. I’ve experienced this firsthand.
As a kratom advocate and chronic pain patient, I’ve dedicated years to educating the public and policymakers about the science, safety, and importance of responsible regulation for kratom. In 2024, I testified at a U.S. Congressional Briefing on kratom, have attended multiple state legislative conferences, and regularly collaborate with scientists and policy influencers working to keep kratom accessible and safe.
For those unfamiliar, kratom is a botanical in the coffee family that has been used for centuries in Southeast Asia. In the U.S., roughly 20 million people consume it, and about 5 million of them use it specifically for chronic pain management. Many find that kratom helps them reduce or avoid prescription medications, regain functionality, and improve their quality of life.
But lately, my advocacy has been under attack. Posts have been erased. My profile was deactivated. Conversations meant to empower and inform are being silenced—just as Taibbi warned.
That’s why I’m looking to be a guest on podcasts that are unafraid to have real conversations. If your show covers topics like kratom, chronic pain, alternative medicine, science-based advocacy, or the dangerous rise in censorship, I’d love to share my story.
Let’s keep these conversations going—even when platforms try to shut them down.
Taibbi is as close to MAGA as you can get without buying the red hat. He hardly takes equal aim at reps and dems in terms of free speech. He frames the Twitter files as the end of civilization but barely has a word to say when ppl are being disappeared from our streets in 2025. He’s on all that right wing pods, making his points while their hosts lie about the 2020 election (which Matt never corrects them on). He’s just looking to make a buck.
Matt ‘s vast following now appears to be almost if not downright MAGS due to his entirely correct take down of Dems and their free speech problems. In that he was supported by some prominent Repubs who I suspect were using it as political fodder against Dems rather than a principled free speech stand.
He asked what he should report on after the election-I answered report on the Trump admin. He wrote one mildly questioning article hoping Trump wouldn’t blow free speech concepts after the highly publicized seizing of green card holder Mafmoud Khalil. Most of his readers’ comments took vehement issue with a non-citizen having any political free speech rights in the USA. To me he appeared to think that free speech should be available to all. But his newer base would have none of that. I haven’t seen much else from him about it. Please prove me wrong. I’ve been a major supporter of his for decade and am distressed by what appears to be an unwillingness to confront the right on its free speech deficits.
I’m in fundamental agreement with you, except to characterize the right’s free speech deficits as deficits. I think that’s too clinical. What’s happening now ought to scare the piss out of all of us, and perhaps that’s exactly why Matt won’t write more about it.

Not to mention just plain stupid. Unfortunately, she's most likely 'judgement proof'.
I wonder if whoever told her to pull that one out of her hat will cover the lawsuit for her? Seems like he should have a blank check coming his way
Thank you for the background!

Taibbi is not perfect (who is?) but he does have integrity.
Very much looking forward to watching her squirm and lose this battle. What an arrogant and entitled person she is.

And, his jumping on board with "cancel culture" bullshit led me to write a "deconstruction" in 2021. https://socraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2021/10/matt-taibbi-further-deconstructed.html
And, after that, I paid less and less attention to him.
I can call out the loathsomeness of Sydney Kamlager-Dove while at the same time having far less than maximum sympathy for Taibbi.
It's not a zero-sum game.
Thanks for your opinion, but what you've written is totally subjective and irrelevant to the slander/libel.

Oh how very open minded and liberal of you to mute one who doesn’t agree with your political opinions. 🙄 Typical.
TWHaT did the ankle-biting smear-generating, victim-blaming troll say? Always nice to hear from the "yes, but...." crowd.
Well, we have maximum sympathy for Matt and zero for a opportunist like yourself. The whole thing is politically motivated, the putrid remnants of the cancel culture. Commies want to shut Taibbi up. Simple.
Ahh, a true wingnut, and a follower of the putrid original cancel culture queen, Bari Weiss, and other Zionist and other nutters like Singal and more.
Speaking of shut up? Add an "eff" to that for you, and bye the normal way!
How was the Twitter files bullshit

Matt still maintains his views he held while writing for Rolling Stone. The “Right” and “Left” have adjusted their stance...

By the reaction of these politicians and NGO operatives, it’s clear Matt’s reporting was on the nose.

The California congresswoman is a POS.
Get every penny of the $10M...Every. Single. Penny.
I hope the court doubles the award.
Isn’t “knowingly and repeatedly” part of the rule? BINGO!
You'da thought the Nick Sandman verdict would've taught people something, but... no.
Concept here is they want Taibbi’s head.
Seeking Podcast Interview Opportunities: Let’s Talk Kratom, Advocacy, Censorship, and Chronic Pain
