“ A US occupation ‘won’t cost us a penny’ because the US would be reimbursed from the ‘money coming out of the ground … referring to Venezuela’s oil reserves.”

I seem to remember some folks saying something very similar around 2003.

Literal word-for-word justification in 2003. We all know how well that turned out.

As I understand it, we still control Iraq's assets, and they have to get permission from the U.S. Treasury to fund their own government, which is withheld when they do something we don't like (like ask the U.S. military to leave). So, it has still turned out very well for the corporations who sponsored that war.

It turned out swimmingly for the corporations, as it always would have, but then the corporations never suffer. It was a disaster for the Iraqis, led to the creation and rise of ISIS, and was also arguably a disaster for the US. I foresee similar disasters this time around but the corporations, I am sure, will be just fine.

🌀🕯️ “The Snatch in the Night (and the Bills at Home)”

At one-fifty AM—oh the city went BOOM!

With rattles and flashes and thunderous gloom.

Then dawn brought a post—oh so breezy, so bold—

Like “Deal has been closed!” and the story was told:

“We got him!” said Trump, with a headline-like flair,

And the whole wide world blinked, then stared at the air.

A head of a nation—elections a mess—

Was yanked from his capital, whisked from address.

Now Caracas is tense—every whisper’s a wire,

With emergency orders and sparks in the fire.

But here’s the hard whiplash that hits folks back home—

While jets cross the tropics and soldiers go roam,

Our health-plan premiums—oh mercy, oh grim—

Could jump 114–115% and wallop the limb!

Grandpa needs groceries. Mom needs a roof.

Kids need a dentist. (That’s plain, simple proof.)

Yet families are squeezed till the pennies cry “Ow!”

For eggs and for rent and for “How do we now?”

And why all the hustle? Why swagger? Why strive?

To “run” Venezuela—keep oil plans alive?

When “private profit” gets top of the chart,

The people get bills… and a big, broken heart.

Two things can be true (keep your lantern held high):

A strongman can fall—AND the law can get dry.

If we clap for shortcuts and skip all the checks,

We hand future bullies the keys to the next.

So steady, dear neighbors—don’t panic, don’t freeze:

Get facts, share receipts, and breathe slow as you please.

Support your own block—your clinic, your school—

Build truth like a habit, the democracy tool. 🕯️

And we in the Resharing Brigade—oh yes, we’re aware:

We boost what is real, and we label what’s scare.

We comment with sources, we don’t spread the fog—

We keep sharing the light—post by post—like a log! 🔥🕯️📣

While everyone’s focus was the bombing of the fishing boats, CIA was busy buying off the ministers in Venezuela government and military. Trump could give a rat about democracy. Oil tankers were running during US occupation of the waters, then bringing that money back to buy his government. And before you condemn Maduro , they are bust trying the same thing with Iran. And he will take Greenland whether the people agree or not. How much money do you think Greenlands leaders have in their bank accounts, while they pretend there is no way Trump can take it? The US is in the business of regime change, that’s their playbook and get in the way, they will either destroy you, or just outright kill you. They have probably killed more people from starving them with sanctions, starting conflict that turn in multi year wars, then they pack up, leave behind their appointed leader and move on. Like a cat following the moving red dot, the cats so busy with that he doesn’t see the wolf ready to eat them at the first chance they could get. They didn’t kidnap Maduro ,his government sold him to the US . And now with their hundreds of NGO imbedded in Iran, the U.S. will move in and do as much damage as they can before regime change , put their puppet government in, so Netanyahu is happy, and it won’t take much unless Iran fights back, because when your starving a piece of stale bread tastes good. You cannot and never should trust the US. They tell you straight out what they are going to do, yet people especially young people fall for it, the belief no way is the U.S. going to control Iran, they have done their business like this for years, and they won’t stop till Columbia and Mexico are under complete CIA control. How many times do people have to see how evil the U.S. government is, before you do something about it. Start an on the ground movement, with their shadow CIA that has no rules, abides by no laws, laws those are there to be broken by this terrorist country, and I mean the U.S. They said yesterday, his own hand picked team Trumps foreign policy is who spoke to him last. He’s not some great chess player, he’s a controlled asset of this shadow CIA, it’s just he figures he is smarter than them. The same group that’s controlled the U.S. government for years. It’s just he truly believes he is. If he doesn’t the next time an attempt to assasinate him, they won’t miss. Now that he owns Venesula, he will sell their oil or I should say his oil. Make trillions and it will just be another destroyed country, like the many the U.S. has been behind.

Stop calling it Israel. There is no such thing. You are being a antisemite. It's "PALESTINE". P A L E S T I N E ! ! ! !

If someone broke into your house you wouldn't give the cops the name of the person that broke into your house. This would be awkward. You would have to ask the person what their name is to tell the cops. You would have to assume that the person was giving you their real name unlike a Z I O N A Z i ! ! ! !. Or as Max Blumenthal calls them ziontologist. If the cops wouldn't come because they thought it was a prank, (and rightly so) you wouldn't go to your representative or the press and say, "Heclimi Joginbar broke into my house and the cops didn't do shit."

If you call them Israeli you are re-enforcing their behavior, legitimizing their cult, throwing all Jews under the bus (being a antisemite) and undermining whatever it is you are trying to do or say. If you were trying to make a doctors appointment for your 5 year old and the doctor asked you the child's name, you would tell the doctor the child name. Not "she like to be called princess. Stop calling it America. It is The Association of Multinational Corporations North by North West.

Trump should run as a democrat his next term, because the ziontologist will give him 4 more years as the peace president, the second coming, the all seeing, all knowing, golden god of Trump Universe. And it will be reported that American's voted for God.

Two theories. Both may be true.

1) Trump plans an attack on Iran which would close the straits of Hormuz and affect the availability of oil and its price. If he captures Venezuelan oil then there is no worry about the price of oil and he can attack Iran.

2) Marco Rubio wants to regime change in Cuba. Cuba depends on Venezuelan oil and the government would probably collapse without it.

Getting rid of Trump and voting in democrats won’t solve anything. Furthermore. If a Democrat were in office, you liberals would be supporting every atrocity here and abroad as all of you are ignorant and propagandized hypocrites who love everything provided a Democrat is the one selling it to you.

Real leftists don't support the democratic party, Reformist/Trotskyist individuals and organizations, the US military and empire, NATO, No Kings, Mamdani, Bernie, AOC, mRNA's, etc. The fact of the matter is that getting rid of Trump and voting in democrats won't solve the problem. That of capitalism. The US was a terrible country long before Trump, nor was the United States a democracy before him, either. This is the harsh reality of it all, which is that the United States can be considered the following: an oligarchy, a corporatocracy, an inverted totalitarianism system, a gerontocracy, a kakistocracy, a kleptocracy, and/or a techno feudalist society. But It is not a democracy, nor is it a republic. Moreover, in a 2014 Princeton Study, it showed that public opinion has a “near-zero” impact on U.S. law. Furthermore, it's important to note that the constitution isn't designed to serve the people as a whole. 📕 Book Recommendation: We the Elites: Why the US Constitution Serves the Few by Robert Ovetz. The thing is, liberalism, which you support goes hand in hand with Fascism which you claim to oppose, but you don't. You Democrat supporters are poorly informed and propagandized on many a topic. Unlike you liberals, I have factual and educational material. Moreover, because you haven't developed the skill of critical media literacy, you always seem to assume that those who are reporting factual and educational material are they themselves lying because you simply don't know any better. Only focusing on the terrible things the Republican Party is doing and ignoring what the Democrats do makes you not all that different than the Trump cult. Refer to the information I've collected on my website via my profile regarding the evils of capitalism. Start with the Dialectical Materialism page. While you're there, educate yourself on other topics as well. Oh, and stop assuming and calling everyone a Trump supporter who disagrees with and knows more than you. It's incredibly childish.

Oh, and lastly. In terms of the United States. We must never salute and show respect towards the American flag. The United States was founded on genocide and built with slavery, with the United States empire responsible for countless deaths. The American flag is soaked in blood. The only time to smile when in the presence of the flag is when it's on fire or being torn to shreds. When it comes to holidays like Independence Day, Memorial Day and Veterans Day, that they are not worth celebrating as they are about brainwashing people that the United States is a great country and reinforcing that lie for those who already believe it. These holidays, I would argue, are primarily about selling and reinforcing the lie that service to the United States military industrial complex somehow made the country and that of the world a better place. After you take the time to learn about the history of the United States and its actions, you'll hopefully come to the same conclusion that I have, which is that there is NOTHING honorable about choosing to be a pawn for the military industrial complex in service to the bourgeoisie, or capitalists if you prefer. The fact of the matter is that the United States bullies and terrorizes the rest of the world as it refuses to take care of its own citizens, because of this I can't help but look at the United States' flag in disgust. The ONLY time when it was acceptable to support the troops and that of the military was during WW2. That's it. But even then, the United States didn't win the war. The Soviet Union did. The United States just swooped in at the last minute to do some minor cleanup and took all the credit. Almost immediately after the dust settled, the bourgeoisie wasted no time in stabbing the Soviet Union in the back by spreading anti-communist propaganda to get the public to fear and hate everything that gave power and any resemblance of freedom and prosperity to the proletariat. Now, if you know someone who has "served" and was injured or killed. Don't get mad at me for speaking truth to power. Direct your anger towards the United States government for sending them off to die in a pointless war, conflict, or military operation that the United States instigated. Let me be absolutely clear. Although I disagree with Veterans and military personnel, in general, for their choice to be a willing pawn for the military industrial complex who I feel are undeserving of an honor, that does not mean I hate them. Unless they were participants in war crimes and are proud of slaughtering people, whether directly or indirectly, that's a different story. People who are proud of killing others who wish they could do it over and over again, those are sick and twisted individuals. That caveat aside, I believe everyone deserves to have their needs met with a government that actually cares about the well-being of people both here and abroad. In conclusion, the underlying reason for all these wars and conflicts is that the United States needs oil to back up the petro dollar. Without the dollars influence and buying power, the United States loses most, if not all, of its hegemony and economic stranglehold over others. So, basically, the problem is that of capitalism. With that said, though, by no means does that mean other countries are innocent in their foreign affairs, but the United States is by far the worst. It's not even a contest.
