It strongly supports MLK's observation back in the 60s that the US Government is the greatest purveyor of violence on the planet.

Excellent analysis, Justin K.P.!!!

That is why I have long called it The Global War OF Terror. We must be accurate in our terminology. ;-)

The US doesn't negotiate with terrorists they partner with them

9/11 traumatized America, just the way they wanted in order to make fear of terrorism as a dominant mindset. It has worked well for 25 years, that America is still afraid of terrorists in West Asia. Unfortunately, without the education of who the real terrorists are, the government and the corporate media have been able to continue their propagandizing without interference. But now because a good number of Americans have been exposed to the brutal Israeli and American genocide on the Palestinians, the mindset is changing. . . Your article comes at the right moment.

Hubris is the death of nations.

They build their towers to the sun, With foundations laid in pride, And point to all that they have won, With a righteous, swelling tide. They chart the stars and call them theirs, They name the seas and every coast, And drown out all the silent prayers With the boasts they cherish most.

They forget the ancient, crumbling stone Of empires turned to dust, The buried thrones, once fiercely known, Now surrendered to the rust. They hear no echo in the wind, No warning in the sage's tome, Believing that their reign will never end, That they have built an eternal home.

But the fault line runs beneath the street, A hairline crack, unseen, unheard, While the powerful and elite Are nourished on their own sure word. They feast on promises they've sold, On lies gilded and refined, As the story of their downfall, old, Repeats itself within the mind.

Then the wind does not just blow, it screams, The sea does not just rise, it claims, Turning their grand, meticulous schemes Into forgotten, whispered names. The marble cracks, the gilding peels, The edifice begins to groan, And the terrible truth at last reveals That they have always been alone.

For hubris is the death of nations, A slow and certain, self-made fate; The culmination of relations Built on arrogance, not state. It is the blindness to the fall, The echo in the hollow hall, The silent, patient writing on the wall That outlives them all.
