We need to make sure this attack is labeled as the terrorist act it was.

Palantir is operating freely within the US governmental apparatus. Palantir is not the only big corporation doing this, they are not some "weird outlier". These corporations are integrated partners, not just "looking in" from the sidelines. The sooner we realize this, the better off we will be.

Palantir permeates the Pentagon. They're working on perfecting a humanoid Robot army with Elon Musk.

Someone has to buy Musks' worthless Meathead Cybertrucks.

Feral Finster's avatar

So what does anyone propose to do about it? Screaming "terrorist no fair!" will not stop Israel or Palantir.

Worryingly, this mob are being considered to operate personal healthcare records in the UK.

I bet nobody is surprised, however, that doesn’t take away from how utterly dystopian and disgusting these ppl are.

I don’t like calling them “elites.”

The elites of this world are the Palestinians, the Sudanese, the people of Congo.

Elites are the poor and oppressed, and those who stand with them.

The billionaires causing corruption, death and devastation are cowards. They’re lowlife criminals and we shouldn’t inflate them in our minds or over-exaggerate their power.

I think sometimes it’s easy to forget that while these billionaires thugs are spying on, robbing, murdering and enslaving us, they themselves are being watched by God.

And they will all soon perish, Karp, Thiel, Musk, Bozos…all of them will die just like us. And when they die they will take nothing of their ill gotten wealth with them to their grave.

And while they desire and conspire to find new ways to scare and intimidate us because they want us to fear them, the fact is that they fear death the most out of anyone.

Bozos of Amazon has even publicly admitted to this, because he’s a dumbass. He doesn’t want to age or die. He, and his friends at Palatir and Musk are desperately seeking a technological breakthrough in order to save their consciousness forever in a pathetic attempt to cling onto a permanent handhold in an impermanent existence.

Fearing these MFer’s makes us almost their allies in a very real way. Because they can only strike fear into the hearts of those who believe in their power and superiority over us.

We are all alive here on this earth for an extremely short period of time before we’re inside of it.

Ultimately these pathetic, despicable criminals have power and control over nothing, and I truly believe that. Any one of them could go to sleep and not wake up tomorrow.

And sure their wealth and the murder machines and technology they created will be passed down to the next in line of the scum of this earth to torment us, but they will still ultimately lose, and justice will prevail, inshaAllah.

Hezbollah is an Iran-funded radical jihadist group to further the rule of Islam in the world. It has been undermining Lebanon's own sovereignty for decades not to mention other countries across the world including the US.

Can anyone think of a more humane way of disarming a militant group while minimizing civilian deaths? I'm waiting.

"Our plan, to which we, as faithful believers, have no alternative, is to establish an Islamic state under the rule of Islam. Lebanon should not be an Islamic republic on its own, but rather, part of the Greater Islamic Republic, governed by the Master of Time [the Mahdi], and his rightful deputy, the Jurisprudent Ruler, Imam Khomeini."

catothewiser's avatar

Then is Israel a radical Zionist terrorist group? The founders of Israel were recognized terrorists carrying out terrorism. Why are we made to fund this?

Hezbollah are civilians. As much as Israelis are magically considered civilians when they are killed.

"part of the Greater Islamic Republic"

This is such laughable Hasbara nonsense. Accusing others of what they are doing. It is called "Greater Israel." That is the problem. A parasite and a cancer.

John D's avatar

Congrats, sounds you're well on your way to radical Islam yourself. Allah would be proud.

lets see:

about two thousand pagers were detonated by Israel. These pagers were bought and distributed by Hezbollah to its members, so Hezbollah members were directly and precisely targeted, and there were a certain number of civilians, who by proximity to Hezbollah members were also injured.

In the year leading up to that attack, Hezbollah fired about 12,000 rockets into Israel, specifically targeting civil areas for the purpose of spreading fear and killing as many civilians as possible. This also needs to be put into context of Hezbollah's stated intention of eliminating Israel.

I do not recall any UN statements on the Hezbollah rockets, nor does it seem the writer of this blog had any concerns about those rockets.

Any other country in the world would consider this an act of war by Lebanon after the first few rockets were launched.

Gene Poole's avatar

Hasbara heard from. Welcome!

Larry's avatar

These are simple facts, please point out anything I said that was incorrect.

From 10/8/23 up until the pager operation, over 10,000 rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel. At that time, 10/8,, Hezbollah/Lebanon was not at war with Israel, yet the rocket attacks started on 10/8.

catothewiser's avatar

It is also a fact that Israel was created by recognized terrorists.

“At that time, 10/8,, Hezbollah/Lebanon was not at war with Israel“

The US attacked Iran despite not being at war with them. Iran hasn’t attacked the US.

Larry's avatar

Not sure what that has to do with the conversation. Hezbollah sent over 10,000 rockets in Israel before the pager attack, which is the topic at hand.

We can have a different conversation about a different topic, or we can combine all the topics into one larger one. Neither of which changes the facts that I presented

catothewiser's avatar

I saw a bomb go off in a grocery market.

“In the year leading up to that attack, Hezbollah fired about 12,000 rockets into Israel…“

And Israel never did a single thing before that….right?

Larry's avatar

I have no problem having a conversation about that, as long as we make sure we go back to when the current situation (which includes Israel, the Palestinians, the Arab league, and Iran) really started - 1920/1924.

These two years are the two most significant events that mark the beginning of the modern middle east, even more so than the Holocaust or the 1948 war. You cannot understand what is currently going on without understanding these two years, any more than you can understand American white/black race relations without understanding what happened in 1865

catothewiser's avatar

There was no Israel in 1920.

Larry's avatar

Correct. And there was no Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, etc

In 1920, victors of WWII ended the Ottoman Empire, one of the largest and longest empires in history. It was run by conquest, genocide, ethnic cleansing, slavery, mass institutionalized rape, and apartheid for non-muslims who did not convert or who were not enslaved. In 1924, the Caliphate was abolished. Non Muslims no longer lived under apartheid. Women were no longer enslaved and raped. Legal slavery, unfortunately, lasted in several lands until the 1960's

An entire empire was abolished and broken up. Since then, almost all of the modern states in that area were formed, wars were fought, many millions were displaced/ethnically cleansed/killed.

Israel was only one of many nations formed, and only one of the many areas where wars were fought and people displaced. Many other wars had significantly more people displaced/killed. In fact, more Jews were displaced than Palestinians.

If the ethnicity of those who fought and gained independence in the 1948 war was an Arab or Persian sect, no one would even be discussing what is going on.

catothewiser's avatar

The difference is Jews hijacking the US's resources to give them an advantage (while also always claiming to be victims.)

Larry's avatar

The US provided small amounts of economic aid starting in the 1950's, and did not provide military aid until 1967, and it was not until 1973 until significant amounts of military aid were provided, along with Egypt. Israel's existence and its survival in 1948, 56, 67 was not based on the "hijacking" of the US.

btw, I am not a fan of Israel getting this aid. It is about 1/3 of one percent of their GDP, so it is not meaningful, and is just a lighting rod for people who fundamentally hate the existence of Israel.

And are you really going to argue that after 1200 years of Islamic apartheid, genocide, and ethnic cleansing, that a small group of people who are still left on a small piece of land do not have the right to defend their right to self determination ?

Sean Jordan's avatar

It's quite a stretch to call that operation a terrorist attack. Did the US commit terrorism in killing Osama bin Laden? Since when is it terrorism for a nation state to attack those trying to kill people in their country?

catothewiser's avatar

Then I guess it isn’t terrorism to resist Israel’s ethnic cleansing.

Holly Campana's avatar

At one point relatively recently, I heard that Osama Bin L. Became an operative for CIA

Sean Jordan's avatar

I mean that seems to be an incredible claim. I'd be more likely to believe aliens had secretly conquered earth. Do you think UBL was a CIA operative? If so, on what evidence?
