No military in the history of war has done more to avoid civilian casualties than the IDF. No military has aided civilians in war than the IDF. This war could end instantly with hostages returned and Hamas' surrender. If you cared about civilians you would be angry with Hamas who prevents them from leaving, shoots them if the try and hides under hospitals and schools to make sure they die.
