Gabbard has made mistakes, especially, imo, not resigning when Trump back slapped her for telling the truth about Iran to Congress last year. Gabbard has a deep military instinct for the chain of command, with all the preemptive loyalty responses that will engender. All the same I like to see politicians develop and change. Although I feel she is too much the follower ever to have made a great president, I do think she would have done better in that office than any other candidate of her era. And most likely the next. Had the Democrats owned sufficient wit to run her with Sanders in 2016, she would be in the second year of her first term now, and Gen Z would be asking, "Donald who?"
